Rock-Ola 1000 turntable setup

by ajmutch » Sat Dec 23, 2006 9:04 am

My Rock-Ola 1000 turntable mechanism seized up. While freeing the mechanism and lubricating etc, some of the gear/cam/switch positions must have gone out of alignment and it now doesn't work properly/consistently - it needs to be set up. Does anyone know where I can get an instruction manual/advice to set this up correctly?

Hi! Can you post a picture of your jukebox mechanism in it's current state? You can get a manual from http://www.victoryglass.com.

Bert
Thanks for pointing me at the Victory Glass web site - it's got the manual I want as well as lots of other good stuff - records, spare parts etc.
I've ordered the manual and will see if I can solve the problem when it arrives. If not, I suspect I'll be looking for a repair shop in the Phoenix area!
Thanks again
Andy

You're welcome. The Rock-Ola 1000 uses the same basic mechanism as those from every other Rock-Ola from 1962 thru 1990's. If you get stuck, post a picture of your mech in it's current state, especially of your record gripper area.
