Rowe cd100f troubles

by kentmoore » Tue Sep 11, 2012 4:33 am

Recently purchased unit. Sound is very muted. In the troubleshooting guide it says CCC or amplifier. I have changed out the amp with no change. Is there any way to check for the CCC problem on my own? Will a 40832220interchange with a 40832201? Thanks Kent Moore

Oh yes... No error light. No system error light. Rowelink is flickering. And it has 5 volts light also.

Rowe part numbers are only 6 digits long-the first two are the suffix, used by parts dept. for "location" (within their warehouse). The next six digits are the actual part number. The last two are the "revision number". 99% of the time, if the part number is the same, it's interchangeable. Ron Rich

Thanks Ron, I changed out to a known good CCC. Had same issue. I got to digging in the paperwork and found where a remote volume had been installed. Rewired back to original and everything is ok with this box now. So now I can put all the original parts back in and be done with this one. Great $300 investment.....Great info on the part numbers...Thanks, Kent
