Rowe R86 volume jumper

by Danridge » Fri Dec 30, 2011 3:54 am

I have a question about the volume jumper on the top of the amplifier enclosure.
It is marked in black. Is there supposed to be a jumper installed there?
I noticed that when I jump it with a piece of wire that the sound starts working on my top right speaker again.
But without it it doesn't work.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,
It should say how to hook the jumper up for dual, or single channel operation. If the silk screen is gone, see the service manual-- (hint: if using a single pot volume control, both channels must be connected -- in other words, "jumpered"). Ron Rich

Ron,
Thanks for the reply. It is a single pot volum control. When I jumpered the connections I got sound out of both speakers but the sound from the right speaker was a bit distorted. I installed a new preamp board from AB Jukebox. Could it be a bad driver board?

Thanks,
Dan
