Rock-Ola 488 Hit Tracker Battery

by aschylus » Sat Dec 19, 2015 6:25 pm

Hi all, long time no post.
I have a Rock-Ola 488 that I need to replace the Hit Tracker battery in. Parts catalogs calls for 3v lithium part no. 52726. Can I replace this with cr2032 (button type) or a cr123a (camera battery) which I have a wealth of? Is there a better alternative to the EOM battery? I would prefer to have a removable holder, as opposed to the battery being directly soldered to the Hit Trackers PCB.

Thanks in Advance

Probably not critical-any Li 3 volt, or higher should work fine--would suggest a replaceable bat holder be added OUTSIDE of the board, where a "leaky" batt. can not do damage ! Ron Rich

That's what I though, but thanks for the confirmation, Ron.
