My mom and dad are moving and have given me their old Magnavox console stereo. I am looking for some information. PLEASE HELP!!

On the back of the cabinet is a sticker which says:
Model 2ST648
Serial # 3769100
Finish F Walnut
Watts 40

It is in good working condition and the cabinet is very pretty and in really good shape. The cabinet is a dark wood, with two sliding panels on the top. The right side is the am/fm stereo, and the record player. The left side is all storage for records and where the cover to one of the speakers sits. It has a look of 2 drawers and a cabinet that opens in the front, but it is all fake facade. The speakers are on the far outside, facing front and have curly q sort of plastic insets in them. I looked at the arm of the player and it looks like it is some sort of panel or magnet that holds the needle in place. The record player does have a changer feature on it, if that helps you assess the year. It plays 78, 45, 33, & 16.

Any information you may have as to what this thing might be worth, pleae e-mail me at as1108@aol.com

Take the back off and get the numbers stamped on the metal chassis. That's the best way to get information on these sets.

That's probably a spring clip which holds the needle.
