Rowe ami RI-1G

Hi
Had a strange problem with this machine. It selected but tone arm cut off won't reject the first record it happened to and the turntable has stopped and the cancel button won't work either.
Funny thing about it you can actually make a selection and record basket will revolve and a record will be transferred but off course the tone arm and previous record are there but if the tone arm is moved across to cut off point the gripper will return that record but turntable still doesn't move
Any ideas

Any common problems with Rowe Amis re tone arm binding etc

Hi Clones,
I am not familiar with that model AMi-- IF, the tone arm lifts straight up, try the following:
Play a selection --allow the record to land fully on the turn table, LIFT the tone are from it's BASE, and place it onto the record start grooves.
It should now play the record and "reject" it at the end-
