Seeburg K/L pre-amps

by Ron Rich » Sun Oct 14, 2012 10:32 pm

Hi All,
Does anyone that has a Seeburg model K or L, happen to have a "code"B" pre-amp installed on it ? This unit can be ID's as only having two long caps on it, while the code A's had four. If so, could you please contact me, as I have lost my notes on the up-date--
TIA ! Ron Rich

You should have by now. Let me know if you need anything else, and when I can put board back in Juke Box.

Ron

I do not know what you received, but, the board I sent you pictures of is clearly marked "TPAU-1 Code B" I cannot understand why it is a Code A?

Best

Ron

After ptiing everything back together I was in the process of playing records in the moiddle, far left and far right side to properly adjust the selection viewing window, During this process, the mech is now stuck on the far right side and there is a humming sound. I have tried to resolve this issue by turning off and back on, using the record reject, move by manually turning mech to move it and nothing seems unstick the mech and stop the hum. Making a record selection does not help either.

Any ideas what I should try would be appreciated?

Thanks
Darrell

While humming sound is gone, the mech still refuses to budge from it's far right location and it does not react when the selection keys are operated?

Scan switch noise is made when operated but mech does not respond?

Thanks Darrell

Darrell,
With the power OFF, flip the reversing switch--power it back up, and see if it travels in the other direction--if it does, look for something that's "jamming" it on that end--

Not sure which one I have as it doesn't have A,B or C on it where it says TPAU-1 so I'm guessing a code A?

Ron

Thank you so much. As soon as I reversed the mech it took right off and is working fine. I had ro remove the selector bar and sliding selector window to get at the reversing lever. I see nothing that is "jamming" the mech. unless in some manner when I put the selector bar assembly back on the first time it was incorrect or to tight?

As it is playing fine now, I will carefully replace the selector bar assembly.

I am thinking that for some reason the reversing lever simply did not trip and it therefore hung up on the right side.

Once again, thanks for coming to the rescue.\ :D

Best
Darrell

Juker,
Could have been updated to any code--Please look at Darrell's photo above--does it have the two top caps--if no, it's the one I want-- Thanks again, Ron Rich
