Does anyone have any expertise on a wurlitzer 2800 jukebox 545 amplifier ? I am working on one and need some electronics assistance.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,
A "little"--Post your question(s) here, if "general interest", or if very specific, PM me with your question--

Well, I am looking to bench test the 545 amp I have been working on. As per the schematic I jumped pins 1+2 and 3
8 on the "junction" connector. Amp is working but the volume is very low. I cannot find a problem though ? All tube voltages check...etc. I am wondering about the muting plug connection ? Do I need to jump any terminals there ?

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
No--no mute jumpers needed. Ron Rich

Mark, the input is designed for a ceramic cart -not magnetic. So if you are using a typical phono turntable w/magnetic pickup you'll get weak and thin output. Try a radio tuner, CD player or any line level source.

Well, the amp seems to be working very nicely. There is a low level hum that I am wondering about ? Can't seem to find where that may be coming from ? All the filter caps have been replaced. Well, I will keep looking. Thanks for all the help.
