Seeburg V200 sounding muffled

by cheapfilm » Sun May 23, 2010 6:17 pm

Hey guys, I just got back my V200 from the shop.. the sound seems muffled.. no real lows and no real highs.. i've adjusted the the treble/bass/noise suppression & auto volume compensator on the amplifier, no improvement just more or less muffled.

The guy who rebuilt everything says it 'should sound fine'.

The cartridge is a Arista? I guess my first step is get a new cartridge.. the needles are new.

photo of my cartridge below:

Anyone here have a mono redhead for sale? What are my next troubleshooting tips?

thanks,

chris

My "first step" would be to get the "guy from the shop" back to listen to it.
If you don't think it sounds right, then it probably isn't.
