Does anyone know the difference between the Rowe Tempest and Rowe Storm jukeboxes? How can you tell them apart?
Regards
Keith

Storm would be model WP-100.

Tempest is also a WP-100.
I think that this is just a case of name change the name is on a small removeable panel.

So to answer your question these wallboxes have the same parts, the same overall blue lightning main glass, so these are the same other than the name.

Keith,
On the last one I saw (an early Storm), there were two "paper" tags on it--on the cabinet rear, and just inside the door on the RH side, about center--
BTW--the Service Manual for these is probably the worst one Rowe ever produced--I have a copy of "issue, 1" and "issue 22", which is STILL loaded with "errors"-- Ron Rich

Tempest, Storm, Berkeley, etc were the same model jukebox, but with different cabinet trim and colors.

eith,
I do not re-call the "Tempest"--but the "Storm" has blue, black, gray front plastics, with lighting pictured on it--I THINK, the Tempest" features reds, and oranges---The "Berkeley" features greens--and there were a couple of other "themes" used. All, except the Storm, and MAYBE, the Berkeley, had plastic inserts--the Storm glass was silk-screened, for sure--All, are WP-100's to me--

So, I picked-up this jukebox and going off all your great advise I think I have a "Storm". I found the paper labels, one on the back and another inside, they have the model number (WP100) and the serial number. The model number doesn't have a hyphen, don't know if this is relevant? The case is blue/black with lightening strikes. There is no "name" on it anywhere, but it was manufactured in April 2002, if that tells us anything?

I must say, it's a fabulous jukebox and it makes a change to buy a working one.

Keith,
MOST "tech guys", paid little or no attention to the sales dept. "marketing names", but go by the assigned model number, to distinguish one model from the next. What you have is a WP(wall phonograph)100, with "Storm graphics".
One thing about WP's is very different--the inverter in the amp is NOT connected (unless some "jepetteo" has inserted the incorrect jumper plug). Ron Rich
