New Member-Non working Seeburg

Hey everybody. Just found this site while surfing for info on a Jukebox I just picked up. It's a Seeburg LS325. Bought it as-is, no info or history. Brought it home and plugged it in. Lights up, motor spins (all the time?). Loaded about 20 records in it. Hit the selection for a song. It makes a ka-chunk like it's going to work, but the carriage never moves. Planning to order some manuals first of the week, but wondered if there was anything to check in the meantime. I moved the reject switch as well as the stop motor switch and play switch. Moving the switch to scan makes the same ka-chunk noise, but carriage still never moves. Thanks in advance, all new to me. Very mechanically inclined, but 0 jukebox experience. Just something I've always wanted to own.

Bill

Hi Bill,
I strongly advise you not to even plug it back in till after you have read the "I & O Manual", at least. The sound you describe, is the sound of the clutch member being "eaten up" ! I suggest you purchase a "Manual Package" from one of the legit sources above, and also suggest that my Seeburg Mechanism Guide should be of some help. --PM me, if you wish to purchase it directly from me--

I just ordered the I/O manual and service manual off of eBay. Was looking into your book as well as a few others too.
