, nobody answered it. I figure it is probably because I told the truth about being not being a tech guy, and not knowing too much at all about electronics. So, I thought I would phrase this a different way so that I can possibly get a response...Rather than someone telling ME how to fix it, can someone tell me is there ANYONE on here who can fix this for me? I could take the transistor board out and send it to someone...???
Also, does someone maybe have some suggestions on some easy things someone who isn't very knowledgable could try?
I have done all of the common sense stuff. I cleaned and lubed all the contacts and so on, blew all the dust off of all of the inner parts, still no luck. I can get both speakers to work if I hook them both to the same channel, but then no stereo sound and I want this beautiful cabinet to work perfectly!!! My wife and I have over 600 records that we LOVE to listen to and we love the sound of these old magnavox's!!
Also, if someone would possibly still be willing to help me fix the unit on my own I wanted to say that I am not comepletely incapable. If someone could send me a picture showing me exactly what to do and what needs replaced I could do it. Although I truly do not know much about electronics, I can solder a little, but above all I can LEARN if someone has a moment to teach me anything!
I know that this is a large request, but this is so important to my wife and I to have a working console. I would GREATLY appreciate any help I could get!! Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to read both of my posts.
