Hoping someone could help me on this - sorry if the info's vague but I'm 7 miles from home (and my collection) and I don't have all of the details in my head. I wanted to know if a particular Gennett record was released and what its A-side was. I have a test pressing (11" in diameter and as thick as an Edison disc!) of The Morgan Hough (sic?) Trio's "Sleep" - the label states a recording (or cutting?) date of 1925 and references Gennett and a catalog number and notes it is a B-side. I can always get more details at home tonight and add them if necessary.
Another "mystery disc" I have is a test pressing (with New York Recording Laboratories - Grafton, WI - master numbers) of two takes of "Down Among The Sunny Hills Of Tennessee" - no artist or specific label is noted. I remember hearing a Claxtonola 78 featuring the exact same arrangement but I didn't get the name of the band (it could have been a pseudonym anyway).
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!
