Admiral record player console help

So I was walking around Providence, RI and I stumbled upon a large Admiral record player console on the side of the street, picked it up, took it home, plugged it in, and it worked!! Structurally, its in great condition, just have to strip the paint, find a tuner knob, and fix a damaged leg. Unfortunately, when I brought it home and plugged it in, it worked fine, but then I removed the back panel to removed all the built up dust and dirt inside, replaced the panel, and now there's a loud humming when it turns on? The radio still works but it competes with the noise. I'm not the greatest electronics wiz, so any help you could give to a novice would be greatly appreciated.

Hummmmmm you say---well, I say "put the dust back in it !"
All kidding aside, an "educated guess", would be that a cap has failed. In any case, do not turn it on ( or even leave it plugged in), as you can cause further problems. Have a 'pro" take a look---it will save you money in the long run ! Ron Rich

Indeed, there's a little warning label on the back (usually ignored) that probably says:

"No user serviceable parts inside - refer servicing to qualified service personal"
