Seeburg R speaker repair

by FrankB » Wed Feb 16, 2011 5:13 am

I need to recone/repair speakers on a Seeburg R.

I was thinking of trying it myself. I have not done this before. Do you guys think its a tough job?
What source would you recommend for the parts?

Also, does anyone know who made the speakers, or did Seeburg make their own?

Thanks a bunch,

Frank

Frank,
Most of the speakers used in that model were Utah's--other brands were also used, I think--
I don't do my own re-coning--I send them all to Neal's Speaker Service, as everyone he has done for me, and others I know, have been "perfect"
Contact him at: nealspeakers2@msn.com , if you wish--and please say "Hi" from me, if you do-- Ron Rich

Gordon Sound in Silverdale, Washington does recones and I think sells parts too for DIY:

There's also Morgan Sound in Seattle, Washington:
