Req: Picture and dimensions of original Disco Mirror

by MrMario64 » Sat Jan 04, 2014 11:06 am

Could anyone provide a picture of the original metal Mirror mounted on the carriage in a Seeburg Disco?
If you could also post the dimensions of it that would be great!

I'm going to try and recreate one.

Thanks

With kind regards,
William

Perfect Thank you!

Do you also have a picture of the backside perhaps?

Hi Guys,
I do not recall ever seeing one with that "sideways slash" in it, as shown on the first photo ?
The one I have here, is smooth on both sides. Ron Rich

On the first photo it is reflecting the garage ceiling, it's smooth all the way across like you said.

Thanks for the pictures!

It's not really stainless steel right?
What kind of metal is it?

Also, could you measure the height and width of the cut pieces? ( I mean the openings for the record and the mounting (sorry not native english :) ))

William,
Yes--It IS, stainless steel--12-14 gauge, "fair" quality, folded over on the sides for re-enforcement.

I hope you will forgive the fact it's a picture, as my scanner is being uncooperative today, but it should do. It is from the back (unreflective) side, and the distances are away from the closest side.

Well, today I made this mirror out of an old piece of stainless steel.
It turned out pretty awesome!
Only needs a little bit of extra polishing still

Thanks again for all the help!
