LPC480, push buttons, alternate letter buttons work

by FixitDad » Fri Sep 23, 2016 10:33 pm

So, still getting familiar with the operation of this machine.

What I have learned is that all the number buttons, except #3 button, function.

Every other letter button works. B, D, F, H, J, etc, will select a record, the other buttons , ie, A, C, E, G, etc, will not select a record. There is a weird exception. Every once in awhile, the A button will work.

Is there a common fail point for, essentially, half a bank not to work?

Need to know the model phonograph you have--They made variations in the LPC-480 series, that could affect the symptoms you describe--Read the I and O manual, and check the model number to be sure it corresponds with the I and O manual. Ron Rich

OK--check that the "Disco section" is pre programed correctly, OR, DIS-ABLED--are there cams in place for the# 3 section--sounds as if maybe that's happening there--Is your LSR relay energizing if you do the "battery trick" ? Ron Rich
