RCA SES6 Record player

by al puggy » Mon Oct 29, 2012 5:50 pm

Hi all..........I completed all lub and cleaning, and changed stylus. The only slight problem, is the indexing, and trip. She falls a bit short of record. There are 2 adjustment screws on arm...one in back the other on side...Does anyone know which one adjusts index? The other problem with trip is .....she hits finishing groove on record, then skates back onto record ...then trips. Any and all help appreciated...Thanks AL

Sounds like improper or incomplete servicing issues.
It'll require a teardown of the cycling slide assembly and cycle gear to remedy further issues.
As for indexing, the adjustment is detailed in the photofact service manual for that model changer.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.
