Seeburg Discotheque (Electra) not playing

Everytime I select record, it pulls out the record, the needle touches the record and it pulls back, then it goes down onto the record, then pulls back....etc etc etc.
It never plays the record, it just keeps up this pattern. Any ideas?

Pull the "mech" / "mute" plug from the amplifier, and let me know what happens when you play a selection-- Ron Rich

I pulled the "mute" plug and tried a selection...now the tonearm touches the record and rejects it instantly, without playing it.

OK--most likely, the clutch yoke pin is frozen to the yoke.

You Get out the books, and you fix it ? (Hint--my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide" might come in handy here--along with the Service and Parts manuals).
