Do I Have A Vintage Magnavox?

by wi253 » Mon Sep 09, 2013 3:16 am

Hi everyone,

I just acquired a Magnavox Stereo Console, from the estate of a deceased relative. The unit has all the original instruction pamphlets with it and are in excellent condition as is the unit itself. What was frustrating is that I could find no name for the unit. I was able to get the following numbers off of a very yellowed tag on the back of the set...

Unit # BG654UPEO2

Serial # 13664793

Model # R403

55amps

Can someone please tell me what I have here, the year and possibly it's value today?

Thanks so much,

Gary

Pictures would help.
I'm sure the 55amps is a mistake/misprint - more like 55 watts.
If that's the case, it's a solid state Astrosonic model, likely 70's era?
8 track player?
Those 70's era sets aren't particularly in demand, nor worth that much.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.
