I have the following note and I cannot find the Capacitor in question. Perhaps someone removed it.
"For ALL Seeburg Wired Selection Receivers in models M100A through 100JL, if wall boxes, (Diner booth selector units), such as 3W-1, etc. are not going to be used, locate or have a jukebox technician locate the 5 Mfd. @ 300 volts capacitor. Clip the two wires going to one side of this capacitor. Twist or solder and then tape these two wires together and secure them somehow so that they do not come in contact with the other parts of the WSR circuit. This procedure takes that old original capacitor out of the circuit. If wall boxes are going to be used, be sure to replace this capacitor with a fresh, new one. Doing this will help save the transformer in the WSR. (Most of these capacitors are shorting out causing the transformer in the WSR’s to burn out. Replacement transformers, for the WSR’s, are approximately $200.00, when you can find them!)"
Does anyone have a photo of this capacitor in place so I can confirm it is out or replaced?
The second thing is that I was talking with someone in the last month, I cannot remember who, that told me that I can and should add a second small 4-5" speaker which will fit in front of the main speaker and will up the mid-range a noticeable amount. What I cannot remember is how to wire it in. Does anyone have any information on this?
Thanks all, James
