Seeburg V Drum Switches

by juke46 » Fri Jun 26, 2015 12:47 pm

Hi All,
Thanks for sharing your wisdom with me! I have been looking at the Seeburg manual for the V that I am currently doing. The manual pictures part 408128, Selector Switch, for the program drum, and it looks like a slide switch in the drawing. The switches in my machine do not have that, they do have a set of blade contacts mounted on each of the 5 switches. The wiring to those contacts looks newer than the other wiring in the machine. Maybe someone modified? Maybe I am way off track as I have been well known for. Thank You !

Hi David,
WHICH switches, are we talking about--the ones that the "customer pushes" ?? If so, yes, they were originally a "slide" type switch, and someone has modified yours--(probably a good thing, as they often failed  ). Ron Rich

Yep, The drum rotation switches that the customer pushes. Now I would have never, ever thought of that modification. Sure seems like a good idea. It looks like a good job. I'll be trying them out before too long but the 100F in the garage has reduced my work hours. Thanks Ron! I appreciate your help!

Hi Dave,
Can you post a photo of "that work" ? I used to add a MicroSwitch to them, when the old ones were shot--but it involved a whole new brace to be added also-- so, if there is an EZ-er way, I am all for it !! Ron Rich
