Transformer--nope--amp outputs--yes--fix problem prior to replacing, or excess damage will result.

The problem I was having is the sound just stopped one day.So I replaced the volume pot, still the same.So I replaced the transistors on the amp.Now I have good sounding quality but the sound is stuck about half way and I cant change it.I tried a remote volume control and still cant change the volume. If I turn the volume knob up as far as it will go the sound goes up faintly.I am stuck

Which "transistors"--what did you use for a "replacement VC " ?

Your issue would not have been the transistors, I hope you did not buy these off of Ebay, if so Ron can tell a good story about some he bought, they were all duds.

Hello mountaindew,

The phono speaker connections are usually as follows:-

Pink & Violet to E6 left & E6 right
Black usually on E1 right
Extension speaker connections
Red & Brown connected to E3 or E4 left or right
The extension speakers are team & ladled with the phono speakers to give a balanced sound.

Regards
Alan
