I am new to the world of jukeboxes...
Recently purchased a Seeburg USC1 jukebox that played very well and selected records just fine. I recently bought a new set of needles for it. When I went to install the needles, I didn't realize it had service switches to move the mechanism up and down the track, so I made a selection and just flipped the power switch off when the mechanism was in a position so I could reach the needles easily. If I had known about the service switches, I would have used that method instead.
Needles were replaced and I was very careful to not bump anything else around. When I turned it back on and make a selection, it now scans twice and returns back to the starting position without selecting any records.
What I have tried so far:
Cleaning the RCA connector that goes to the tormat
Using a pencil eraser to clean the rivits on the bottom of the tormat
Used 3-in-one SAE 30 oil in the motor's oil ports
Anyone have other suggestions? Much Thanks!
