ROCK-0-LA 459 PROBLEM

by dennisoates » Fri Oct 04, 2013 12:24 am

hello, when I turn it on, it lights up, and when I open the lid , the turntable is spinning, but nothing happens when I make a selection. I don't have a clue where to begin, I have the service manuel but nothing leads me to this problem. any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks
PS IT WORKED FINE BEFORE IT WAS TRANSPORTED.

Hi
is the tone arm over the turntable?
when you enter a selection does the third number lock in, in other words it doesn't release until a selection is found on the wobble plate, maybe press the cancel button at the back of the machine its located at the back of the amp and it is usually a black button,

Unless you have electro/mechanical skills, I would suggest that it would be more economical in the long run,
to check above on the list of "repair people", and pay to have it serviced. If you have the skills, check with the sellers of "books" above, and purchase the schematic set, and trouble shooting guide for you phono--read them prior to "doing anything", and you should then know where to start. At that point, ask here if there is something else that you don't understand using the terms in the RockOla manuals--most likely someone can then guide you. Ron Rich
