Magnavox solid state magnasonic

Hi. I'm new here, found you after surfing for information on a Magnavox console I have inherited, literally from 3 little old ladies, who never took it for a spin. The cartridge is still in its star wrapper. The model number is 1P 3001, run 2. the number 641442 2 is stamped on the back of the console and the serial number is 1468406. I have the operating instructions. Can anyone tell me anything about it, and what -- if anything -- I need to do before installing the cartridge and taking it for a spin? Thanks so much.

your solid state magnavox console was made in 1969, and was called the "cape cod."
It's only 36 1/2 in. wide, and 26 in. tall. it has 8" speakers out the side, with 5"
speakers to the front. it's design is colonial, and cost $159.oo new.
