by Fridgemaster » Wed Sep 10, 2014 9:37 pm

Hi!

When i take apart the gripper unit to clean it i found that the shaft (see the first picture at right) was realy hard to take out from the housing. It was almost stuck. after heating up with a hairdryer it finaly gets lose.
Today i was trying to reasambly it but it was impossibly. I have clean the shaft and the hole and lubricat with oil.
What do you think have happen? what should i do?

Thanks, Martin

Martin,
If you have remove all of the "glaze" from the shaft itself, you will need to "find a friend" that repairs automobile brakes. Have him use his "Honing tool" on the casting---ever so lightly--re-grease, and it should be OK. Ron Rich
