I think your Gramophone started off life as a "Hornless" Model.
From your photo which is not completely clear it looks like originally there were doors on the front, if that is the case the Back Bracket / Tonearm have been modified to accept a Horn. There is an example of this workmanship shown on this excellent Crapophone website http://www.oldcrank.com/articles/crapop ... hones.html the author describes it as a "Frankenphone".

My apologies to disappoint

Hi Eng Bo!

Yep, Ian is right it's a Crapper if ever I saw one!

It looks like a Model 1 Hornless with a new top bracket made to hold a tone-arm and elbow whilst dropping into the sleeve of the original sound chamber.

Are the old (not needed) doors screwed shut?

There would have been (or maybe still is?) an internal horn of plywood behind closely slatted grille at the back of doors.
I used to be looking for things but now I've found them I don't look at them!

Hi Steve,

Good to see that you are still around here. It's getting indeed quiet here... :(
Also, I do not have the intention of buying the above frankenphone machine I was just curious. (these photo's came from an ad).

best regards
