Adjustment of the set down on the 1100-1200 mechs is a little 'riggy" and involves three items.
Here are the instructions for 1100 series:
Check/adjust this one first if you have changed the cart:

Beginning with the "N" phonos there was a 'no record cutoff" set of contacts added to the vertical height screw assembly. Your machine will have it and I'm surprised it didn't cancel. I disconnected them to avoid drag, so yours might be too.
Not mentioned in the instructions is the crescent-shaped flange at the rear of the arm assembly. This has to clear the lift lever when the arm in set down. If the height adjustment is corrected for the new cart, it probably won't need to be tampered with.
If all parameters are set up well, that arm will work reliably @2 grams. That is what I use on my two MM-1 hideaways.
