1969 seeburg ls325

Hello everybody. I am hoping someone here might be able to save my sanity. My ls325 made a "buzzing" sound and now everything works, except the "selection playing lights" I have searched everywhere to avail.

Open the cabinet, and tell us where the"buzzing" is coming from --do NOT leave it "buzz" too long--un-plug the phonograph!!

The "buzzing came from the tormat area. I checked the records and from about the 130 selection and up, all the records had the same edge warped so now they are garbage. I replaced the black and grey boxes, placed a few records in and played them. Everything works, except the "selection now playing" lights.

The "buzzing" you heard "coming from the Tormat", was not from the Tormat--nothing in there to "buzz"--
Your problem with buzzing, AND, the selection now playing lamps, is that the 1/2 amp (hopefully), slow-blow fuse on the FRONT (your service manual, may show this as the rear) of the mechanism is blown. The reason for this is mal-adjusted 3M-13 and 3M-14 contacts on the mech., which was causing the popularity meter coil to remain energized. Now that you have blown the fuse, the coil is relaxed, however it will no longer function. See your service manual for proper adjustment, after which, you will need to replace the fuse with the size and type shown above. If the fuse was any larger then 1/2 amp, check that the coil has not "burned up" (shorted) prior to, replacing the fuse ! Ron Rich
