WTB: Rockola 440 dome glass

by robo » Thu Feb 25, 2010 3:04 pm

Hi,

I'm looking to buy the dome (top) glass for a Rockola 440. If you have one you'd like to sell or know of a good source, I'm looking for one.

Thanks,
Rob

Ken - Yes, but they didn't have it. I also checked with Durfee Coin-op and they didn't have it.

Hi Rob,

If you do not manage to get the glass in the USA then I would try Leon at www.jukeboxparts.co.uk and www.jukebox-world.de/

There's this one on Leon's website. It looks similar to the one for which you are looking.
He gives the measurements but you might need to check with him as to whether it will fit.

That one looks a little different. The 440 has an opening in the middle at the bottom where you peak down to see the selection playing. The 440 has a black border and then some grey blocks inside of that. It also has the selections stenciled on the glass like to one shown. Maybe I'll take a picture tonight and upload it so everyone could see what the original looks like.
Thanks,
Rob

These are images of a 440 from one of the sites I use to identify jukeboxes I don't recognise when people talk about models with which I'm unfamiliar.
From this I can't see any opening. In fact it certainly doesn't look like anything you've described. Maybe they changed the dome glass during the production run?

I s'pose the critical thing is the actual over-all size of the glass and the location of the title racks to the numbers on the glass.
