Seeburg SS160

Is the tone arm supposed to switch sides each time the carriage reverses to make the selection indicator lights display properly or does the tone arm only switch sides when the record is about to be picked up? I can't seem to determine this by looking at the manual. Thanks, Gary.

Gary,
The tone arm is switched by the direction of the motor, only at the time of record pick-up, on all Seeburg "7 inch" record mechanisms. The lamps on that model are switched by the tone arm cradle. Ron Rich
