Rowe/AMI MM-6 *FOUND*

by foxtrotxray » Sat May 16, 2015 8:56 pm

.. And the second reason I joined up here..

Lookin' for a Rowe/AMI MM-6 juke in the WV, MD, PA, VA, DC area.

Prefer the Bourbon Street or Monterey flavors, and much prefer the tube amp.

I'll consider points farther away (NJ, West NY, Ohio), but will have to take the drive into consideration with the price.

No records needed or wanted with it, Prefer working, but if it needs a little work, that's perfectly fine. Will also give more consideration to a unit that has the stepper installed. (+ more if you happen to be getting rid of a wallbox too.)

Cheers -
Mike

I'm strange.. I like 'Rock And Roll (Part 1) from Gary Glitter more than the more common (Part 2)..

Hi Mike,

Welcome to the forum.

Best of luck with finding a 1972 Rowe Ami MM-6 Superstar, my prefered model is Lavender Ladies.
You of course could also look for the 1971 MM-5 which looks very similar but has six different model trims.

Regards
Alan

Thanks Alan -
Yeah, I'm keeping an eye out for any MM5's as well. :)

I grew up with an MM-6 in my basement (two, actually.. I 'adopted' one when I was 10) and over the ten years I had it I learned the ins and outs of that thing so well.. I miss it now, and have the need to add it back into my life. :)

Found one, thanks! It's not perfect, but I'll be working on it..
