Rowe AMI MM2 transfer motor assy

by area5150 » Tue Nov 13, 2012 4:16 am

Greetings to all,

I recently received a Rowe MM2 as a gift. One item I know for sure that I need is the transfer motor assembly, there is a stripped plastic gear. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement motor assembly or a replacement gear?

Thanks,

Bill

Bill,
Look in the jukebox section--"---announcements--used/new--where to find----".

Thanks Ron,

I have one lead so far. I would think that gear should be replaceable if you could have a machine shop fab one. Do you think there would be a marked for them if I were to have say 50 of them made? I have connections in the machining industry.

Ron,

Never hurts to ask.
The manufacturer is Multi Products Co. from Racine Wisconsin.

Hello Bill,

As Ron says try the usual people that sell secondhand jukebox spares.
The thing to watch for is that your transfer motor has on it the extra wide cam on it that operates switches on two plates, therefore make sure that the shaft on the motor has the two circlip groves on it, if it has only one the motor would be of no use to you.

If you get stuck and can not locate one, by all means contact me off of line.

Regards
Alan

Bill,
I think you have it "made"--contact them. The last time I did so, they were verrrry helpful, and rebuilt a sixty year old motor for me, at a more then reasonable price--Let us know what happens-- Ron Rich

Hi Alan,

It appears that the shaft on my motor has only one circlip groove, is it possible this motor is incorrect? The drawing in the parts manual also shows one groove.

Thanks for your help Ron and Alan, I look forward to learning from you both.

I was referred to Pinball Resources by MultiProducts. They stopped rebuilding motors about 2 years ago and Steve at Pinball Resources took over the rebuilds. He offers kits or can rebuild for you. They are great to deal with, Here's a picture of the kit.
