The "value" in most cases, IMHO, depending on condition, is the labor (time) needed to re-furbish it, CORRECTLY-- Ron Rich

Definitely true Ronnie.
Parts costs, labor time invested.... this is 2015, so need I say more?

If you want something like that, you'll either get junk, or a pricy treasure.
Take your pick.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.

I'm not doubting his integrity, just his wording.

The "bulk" for most people who want a wall box, is an essential component as they want to convert them for use selecting tracks from an iPod.
It's OK trying to make a positive out of a negative, but there are limits to what some of us will accept.

HI, sorry I guess I don't make a very good comedian, I was not sticking up for this guy, I agree with you, if you take away any part of anything working or not it looses the value it had when complete. And no he does not do house clearances that I know of, just my sad sense of humour in saying that. although I do actually know of this guy, I got a lot of Rowe Ami spare's from him. And guess what, everything was dismantled, mechs everything even search units completely stripped and wires cut. I guess he just likes taking things apart. :?

Yep Ron, unfortunately that poor old seeburgs Happy days ended when some geppetto (bodger) put an NSM pile of wheely bin material in it. It's cheaper over here just $100.00

To be honest if anyone had bought that wallbox in th condition it was in for £29.99 they would have made their money back by selling the title rack, the keyboard would have been a bonus especially if the wafer switch was still ok.
More than likely you would get more than the £29.99 in scrap value for the alloy.

I may have an overpriced NYC perspective here but, if the cabinet is solid and rot-free, $100 is OK to start building up a machine.
I've started with essentially that much three times. If one is patient, trolls the shows and ad's they can make a complete G or W for under $1000 -assuming you do most of the work yourself. In the 80s and early 90s when I was doing this sort of thing, E-bay didn't exist and one had to go over the three magazines (Gameroom, Jukebox Collector and Always Jukin) attend the Philly, Hackensak and Liberty State park shows as well as call around.

It is a lot easier now.

I agree Rob, there is more than $100 in the cabinet, I think Ron may have mistook the $100 for a $1.000, must have been a senior moment. would not give $10 for for the NSM parts, Sorry I just don't like nsm. :)

Hi, Alan, that's true, as I said in an earlier post I know this guy, he had two wallboxe's the other was is very good condition, but with some parts removed, (bulky  ). he is bringing the other up for me with the parts he removed when he gets back from holiday in exchange for giving a seeburg mech the once over, (IF IT IS COMPLETE  ) I disagree with the scrap price though, I once took a full truck load of alloy cans to the scrapyard, got £8.50 for them. Harry. Guys,
I understood he wanted $100.00 for it, but, IMHO, it was not worth that amount, as the cabinet was "butchered"--
I have purchased empty ( but "good") cabinets for as low as $25.00 and when my friend was still living had him restore the cabinet, then I filled it with the proper, totally rebuilt, parts. The last one I did like that was a model B, which has been on location, combined with 12 3W-'s, for at least 12-15 years. Ron Rich
