Wurlitzer Americana III 3300 issue...

by gilsmak » Tue Dec 22, 2009 12:47 am

New user to this forum with a question one of you can hopefully help me with.

I replaced the belt and stylus and my 3300 today. I accessed the belt through the upper-rear service panel and the stylus, of course, through the top. My problem, however, is this:

Now it will only play Gold Bar selections and my power switch seems to do nothing at all. It always stays on. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
-Josh

Josh,
Welcome !!!
Gotta Service Manual ? They are available from http://www.alwaysjukin.com and others--be sure you order and get the "whole package" (not usually offered by "eBay sellers"!)---
The needles and belt should have no connection with the other problems--
I have seen the "line" switch fail in that way before--just need to check it out--You did not say if you just acquired this phono, or if this problem "just started".
You are going to need to describe the selection problems a little better--
Is the phono "set on free play" ? Does the solenoid in the keyboard energize when coins are inserted ? Do the "keys" lock down ---and so on---
