so I just got the hard disk mp3 player.. other then the lack of SATA man this thing is sweeeeet. I got the mp3 unit because I didnt want to be tied to a ipod in case of failure. talk about sweet product.. plug and play and it spun right up and track to track time is awesome.. given the labor and time and hardware savings (over using the CD unit) the cost was a no brainier.

if anyone ever considering this thing.. go for it.. its awesome easy.

Are you using a compact flash card or a 2.5" hard drive?

2.5 right now because I had it sitting around, I will likely CF it once I hunt around for a larger CF ...I could test something if needed I have CF and IDE adapters ..just none that are over 1gb so I didn't bother yet.
