Seeburg Lpc 480

by Mistermistermusic » Wed Nov 05, 2014 10:32 pm

Hallo

I have 3 LPCs. 2 Export Versions(1 of them with the Discotheque Feature ) and One normal Version.

When the device is in the park Position the reversing relay is energized.
Is this normal or not ?

Regards Eric

HAllo

Now I have a Problem with the Lpc 480 that i can not solve by myself.
The lpc works, The Album Scan Unit Works Fine. Only one Thing if the Green Plug (p425) from the Album pricing unit is connect to J325 from the Album scan Unit , the lpc will not be able to write in an Album. Normal Play is Working .
If the lpc Works without the ASU the Write in of an Album is no Problem ,if u disconnect the Green Plug all other plugs of the ASU can stay connected the Album Write in Works also.

Perhaps some One can help me ,please .

Hi,
I'll try, but I am not sure of what you are attempting to say--
Is the "Select any Album" lamp lit ? Are the "tabs" on the TES set to"Album" ? Is this the "Disco" , or "normal LPC-480" ?
If the TES keys go down normally, and pop back up, does the APU-2, subtract an"Album credit" ?

Hi

The select Album light Lit,you can select an album ,the Motor in the Album pricing Unit Works and Substract the Credit . It s all normal and the lpc plays the Album (both sides) ,if the green plug p425 from the Album pricing unit is discconect from j325 ALbum Scan Control . If this Plug is connect u can select an Album ,the mechanism Beginns to Scan but dont find the Album selection . Single selection with normal pricing Works with the Plug p425 connect to j325 .
its a discotheque Version .

Since they were "outlawed" here when new, I have not worked on many ASC. Without getting the schematic out, I would guess that there is a "homing switch" that is used to accomplish write-in, when the bonus button is used. I would further guess that this switch is not making (good?) contact when an album is selected from the TES. Ron Rich

I m confused because normal price selections are Working Fine ,only Album selections dont work if the ASC and APU are connected to each other. The Award functions are also Working and with the Award Button its Possible to select the awarded Album.
So the Album Write in from the ASC is Working .The only Way to bring the Jukebox to write in an Album with the selector is to disconnect the green Plug j325 -->p425 .
So i will search again and hopefully find the mistake.

Thanks for helping regards Eric

Eric,
I THINK that the write in for albums goes through the ASC, when it's plugged in, and the "spotlight button" is pressed. I ASSUME that there is a switch, or relay, in the ASC that returns that function to the APU, when the ASC is not in use, or not plugged in ? Ron Rich

Hi Ron!

Today i found the fault.
The Carry over Switch must work exactly, the contacts PA ,PM necessary for the shift solenoid are very important.
