Oh no. Did he send the wrong springs? Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with him too. I haven't heard of this before from Wyatt, but then I don't know more than a couple people who've dealt with him either.
Most people seem to get everything from George at Great Lakes. While his mainspring prices may be more, I really think you'd be paying the extra for quality rather than pure mark up. I've never bought springs from George, but everything else I've got from George has been top quality & very reasonably priced. I've always found him to very easy to deal with, and had great communications with him via email too.
I did once hear a complaint from a guy who paid for a part but never received it. George keeps good records though, and was able to provide the guy with postal receipts etc, and even offered to replace the part at half price for the fellow. It's always a good idea to pay the extra $2 or $3 to have parts registered to protect both the buyer & seller, and then it's USPS responcibility to make sure the parts arrive safely.
