Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, and to jukebox repair. I have repaired pinball machines for about 15 years but we wanted to have a older style jukebox. I've had newer boxes like the rowes from the 70's and we do have a cd rockola fireball. I bought this seeburg r and a rockola princess in a package deal. I'm trying to fix up the r because everybody in the family like the looks of it. It does have a good sound too. Not sure what I'm doing about the princess yet.
Enough about me, I've got this seeburg r that it wants to continually play the same record over and over. The only way I can get it to stop playing is to trigger the record over micro and then switch it into service and it will start scrolling, then I put switch back in regular play And it will go right back to the same 2 selections every time, even if turned off, and or unplugged overnight. I'm trying to slowly figure this box out, without pulling out my hair out. Somebody at one time had unsoldered the "clamp arm switch" but I don't think that is effecting my problem. It seemed to work better yesterday when the middle selections were made, but now today im stuck with A1 and K9 it just keeps wanting to play them again and again.
I'm trying to figure out what tells the selection unit to stop at certain spots. I'm used to tinkering with stuff, but I'm slow going as everything on this is new to me and its a lot to take in. Any help is appreciated. I would like to get a copy of mr Rich's book on the selection unit. I do have the operation manual and the service and parts manual. Thanks again. Todd Scott
