Elroy,
I would suggest that before you do anything more, that you first determine which "AY-160" you have, by looking at the ID tag on the rear, outside of the cabinet. Then purchase the correct (Seeburg) "Information & Operation Guide", Service Manual, Trouble Shooting Guide, and IMHO, a copy of my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide". All of the above are available from
http://www.alwaysjukin.com and other sources (including myself, for my book only). Then, using the I&O Guide, determine that in fact you have the correct parts installed that model machine. There were many "versions" of an AY, and it can make a difference if someone has installed "alternate" parts. In the case of the problem you have spotted, that should make no difference. Note, I suggest that you NOT purchase any books from eBay, as the ones that I have seen are poor copies.
Your problem could be just a lack of (the correct) oil, or it could be something very simple. It is, however somewhat impossible to describe the procedure that you need to follow, if you don't have a reference with at least the part names. Ron Rich
