If I glue two 45rpm records together, how will it play?

There are a lot of "B" side songs that are just terrible.

I was thinking about taking two records, and gluing the "B" sides together, so the end result is two "A" sides on, essentially, one record.

Has this been kicked around before?

I'm sure others wil be in agreement with me when I say it's a sloppy dumb idea.
I'd highly not suggest it.

Not a good idea, might as well put 7 inch record in the oven and make a peanut bowl, Trouble is the hole expands and the peanuts fall through.

Not if you glue the peanuts together to make them larger...

Can't eat them with glue,, just use brazil nuts, No the best way to get double A sides is to have two jukes.

I am going against the grain here (no surprise) I have used two records in Seeburgs since I got my first machine as a Christmas present in 1969. I also have about 8-11 "bi-packs" in locations.

I do not glue them, but where possible I use two thin vinyl disks. I have never had any problems with this practice.

Gluing together was popular in both Rowe and Rock-ola machines that I saw on location though I don't consider it a good practice to use two at a slot on gripper type mechs. The Wurlitzer carousel machines were thought to be the best suited for "bi-packing" of all the brands.

Works like a champ in my Rockola 425, but took a bit of labor. Only try it with VG+ singles you can get for a buck or two on ebay.

I put painters tape covering the entire the A-side (might need to put paper over the label). Then I put a large piece of sandpaper on the floor and put the b-side face down and rubbed in circles for 15 min. Do the same to the other 45 you want to back it to, then clean them both up while keeping the painters tape in place.
When they are sufficiently worn down, use a generous amount of Super77 spray glue and stick them together. Put heavy books on them to dry over night, then carefully remove the painters tape in the morning.

Make sure there is no stickiness on the outside or inside edges. When I put them in the jukebox, I bend that record's slot apart just a tiny bit to accommodate the slightly wider 45. Can't put two of these doubles next to each other in the basket.

Purists probably wont like it, but with only 160 song slots, space is too valuable to waste on a song we wont listen to.

Thanks for the recommendation the 77 glue. I'm gonna give it a go.

I'm looking at the existing record collection in the slots. Some are literally wafer thin, others are pretty meaty. I think it's just a matter of not having them bind up in the slot, not make them thick like bricks.
